At Wingman Mentors, we empower young people across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Buckinghamshire to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. As a non-profit, we provide targeted mentorship, skill-building workshops, and community service projects to youth aged 9 to 21—especially those at risk of involvement with the criminal justice system.
Our programs include high-risk mentoring for young people facing difficult circumstances, from gang involvement to family abuse and ACEs. We offer early intervention programs to guide educational focus, prevent permanent exclusion, and support those experiencing ACEs, helping them break the cycle of trauma and shape healthier futures.
We also run assemblies and discussions in schools and youth groups on crucial topics, including knife crime, misogyny, the dangers of the manosphere, and how to be an upstanding community member. We provide vital support to families dealing with child-to-parent violence, county lines, and gang involvement.
Through everything we do, we help young people build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with positive role models. Wingman Mentors isn’t just about guiding young people to success; it's about inspiring them to create lasting change in their lives and communities
At Wingman Mentors, we believe that everyone has the potential to overcome their challenges and create a brighter future. We work with individuals facing some of life's toughest obstacles, from poverty and exploitation to abuse, addiction, and mental health struggles. Whether they are involved in criminal activity or dealing with trauma, we are here to provide the support, advice, and training they need to turn their lives around.
Our approach is grounded in compassion and empowerment. We offer one-on-one mentoring, life skills training, and practical guidance to help individuals navigate through their difficulties and make positive changes. Our goal is to show them that no matter their past, a successful future is within reach.
Through our programs, we help individuals build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to break free from cycles of hardship. By providing tailored support, we ensure that each person is given the tools to rebuild their life, reconnect with their community, and achieve their goals.
At the heart of what we do is the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive. By investing in people today, we’re helping to shape a stronger, more resilient tomorrow.

Meet Michael aka Dowie aka Essa.
Dowie has been involved with mentoring young people/ men for nearly 20 years across my local community & in Morocco. I have always held a deep belief that passing on positive advice & support to the youth is a win win situation for everyone & a responsibility I take very seriously. I have used my knowledge of physical training & nutrition to build strong relationships with young people and teach them self confidence and respect. I have owned two gyms in Morocco & enjoyed working with the special police forces in Morocco training them & helping many young men start a journey of learning and self respect & respect for others. I have worked with dozens of different groups and organisations over the years & have also started my own social media platforms for men’s development. I have worked with ex offenders and trained them to the level of professional boxers & several of them into professional coaches themselves. Helping these young men/ women is definitely a vocation I will continue to do as long as I’m Alive. I became Muslim 27 years ago & use my experiences of transitioning from different way of life to cross bridges with Muslim youth & people of different faiths to help bring understanding & community togetherness & cohesion.
