I highly recommend and appreciate the support Wingman Mentors offers to the younger generation and families. 

I met Si from WMM when my child was pulled down a  road involving county lines/gangs this was a whole new experience for myself and my family. Si offered support and time to try to help us understand as well as supporting my child. 

My child has worked with Simon for the last 3 years and during that time my child has dipped in and out of support and guidance. 

There was no easy fix to this situation but the consistency Si showed up every time, trying time and time again to support and be an active male presence and the positive impact was remarkable.

We were lucky to have Si at the right time for my child to be able to turn this around and now be thriving  I don’t believe this would have happened without some of the support Si offered.

As soon as my child turned a corner Si was one of the few people he has expressed gratitude for and is always grateful for him never giving up on him like others have. 

As a parent this service was a life saver in an emotional and trying time. After missing a consistent male role model my child benefited from Si as he was a consistent, reliable and positive male figure who was relatable. 

As a family we will forever appreciate Si for seeing something in my child that my child didn’t see in himself, and always being available for when he was ready to talk or reach out for help. 

Si has played an important part of where my son is today. 

Si has been my mentor for the last few years. 

As a young man growing up with an absent father Si has offered me male guidance outside of my family home. 

I am grateful to have somebody to relate to and showed they are consistent and believed in me. 

No matter how many times I fell off I could reach out and get help. 

Si offered me somebody to trust and somebody to talk to outside of my home and opportunities to find the right path. 

I have turned my whole life around and feel this support and guidance was what I needed to do this. 

Si form WMM stepped in and helped us when our grandchild was living with us and going down a very bad road. 

As elderly grandparents we had no clue how to support or understand anything that was going on. 

Si spent time to help us understand some of the outside pressures and challenges children are now experiencing, this gave us a better understanding of the situation and how we could help. 

Si was always at the other end of the phone or around in person to support us and my grandchild, and offered support out of his core hours when our grandchild would be missing.

During these tough times and having outside organisations passing blame instead of support Si offered somewhere that felt safe for us. 

It’s been a long road but my grandchild is doing well and still continues while on a good path to stay in contact with Si which says a lot about the impact Si has had.

This services are important and we will forever appreciate Si and Wingman Mentors and the support, time and patience he offered in an extremely difficult time.
