The Daniel Baird Foundation was established after Daniel, 26, was stabbed to death in Digbeth, Birmingham, on 8 July 2017. The Foundation was setup to raise awareness and encourage the use of public access bleed control kits.
Lynne Baird MBE, Daniels mother works tirelessly promoting this work from visiting schools to news articles to Downing street, the result is now bleed kits are being installed nationally and being used to help save lives in all types of incidents.
The Daniel Baird Foundation Bleed Control Kit was developed by West Midlands Ambulance Service, leading consultants from the Trauma Network and the Daniel Baird Foundation to provide a kit of medical equipment that can be easily used by the public but can also control a catastrophic bleed.
Each critical bleed kit is designed to save lives in those precious minutes before emergency services arrive. Inside, you'll find:

Specified and commissioned by Bedfordshire Violence and Exploitation Reduction Unit (VERU) & The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner, Wingman Support Services CIC have been tasked to locate 130 critical bleed control kits across Bedfordshire.
Bedfordshire is 470 square miles and is a vast distance to cover, to ensure the viability of the kits and the expansion of the campaign county wide we are engaging a team of driven volunteer WARDens to work as a collective team to enable us to achieve the goal
Initially we will be placing one Public Access Bleed Control Kit bag within each Ward that WARDens will help us check in on.
Wingman WARDens can help identify potential new host locations within their own Ward areas as they will know it best and help increase the local impact.
